This policy sets the rules for using Chooza, including chooza.io, the demo, our APIs and the assistant on merchants' stores. By creating an account or using Chooza, you agree to it.
1. What Chooza is for
Chooza is for legitimate online stores, to help their shoppers find products and get answers about the store.
2. Stores that can't use Chooza
Because our payments are handled by Paddle, you may not use Chooza on a store that mainly sells products or services prohibited by Paddle's Acceptable Use Policy. This includes:
- anything illegal where you or your shoppers are;
- adult content and sexually explicit products or services;
- drugs, prescription medicines sold without proper authorisation, tobacco and e-cigarettes, weapons, explosives and hazardous chemicals;
- gambling, lotteries, cryptocurrency trading and other high-risk financial services;
- counterfeit, pirated or infringing goods, including unauthorised resale of branded products or software;
- deceptive services such as fake identity documents or essay mills.
If you're unsure whether your store qualifies, ask us before installing.
3. How the assistant may not be used
You may not configure or use the assistant to:
- mislead shoppers: publish false prices, false stock, fake reviews or misleading policies;
- hide that it's AI where the law requires you to disclose it;
- produce harmful content: defamatory, harassing, hateful, violent or sexually explicit content;
- collect sensitive data in chat: card numbers, passwords, government ID numbers or health information;
- manipulate the AI: put hidden instructions or prompt-injection text into product data, feeds or your knowledge base to change how the assistant behaves.
4. Protecting the platform
You may not:
- get around plan limits, rate limits or other restrictions;
- use bots or scripts to query the demo, the assistant or our APIs beyond normal shopper use;
- scan, probe or test our systems for vulnerabilities without our written permission (to report a security issue, email hello@chooza.io);
- resell, white-label or sublicense Chooza without our written agreement.
5. What we may do
We may review reported problems and, where needed, look at a store's setup and content to investigate. If a store breaks this policy, we may:
- pause the assistant on that store;
- suspend or close the account, telling you by email;
- for serious breaches (such as deliberate attacks or illegal products), close the account immediately without a refund.
6. Reporting misuse
If you see a store misusing Chooza, or an assistant giving harmful answers, email hello@chooza.io.
