1. Who we are
Chooza is an AI shopping assistant that online stores add to their websites. Chooza ("we", "us") is an independent business based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. These terms are an agreement between us and the business that creates a Chooza account ("you"). You can reach us at hello@chooza.io.
Our products are sold through Paddle.com Market Ltd ("Paddle"), our online reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle handles checkout, payment, invoicing, sales tax and VAT, and refunds. Paddle's Buyer Terms apply to your purchase in addition to these terms.
2. Who can use Chooza
Chooza is a business service. By creating an account you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, that you are using Chooza for a business and not as a consumer, and that you are allowed to accept these terms on behalf of that business.
3. Your account
You must give accurate information and keep access to your email account secure, because sign-in links are sent there. One account runs one store. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us straight away at hello@chooza.io if you think someone else has accessed it.
4. The service
The assistant answers your shoppers' questions using your product catalogue and the information you add (your knowledge base, store policies and contact options). You may install it only on websites you own or are authorised to operate.
The assistant uses AI models, which can make mistakes. We work to keep its answers grounded in your data, but we don't guarantee that every answer is accurate or complete. Product cards (prices, stock, links) are built from your product data, not written by the AI. We don't process orders, payments or deliveries for your shoppers.
You are responsible for:
- the accuracy of your product data, prices and store policies;
- reviewing how the assistant answers on your store (the dashboard's test page and conversation history help with this);
- telling your shoppers, where the law requires it, that they are talking to an AI assistant, and describing in your store's privacy notice that you use Chooza to answer their questions;
- having a lawful basis for us to process your shoppers' personal data on your behalf.
5. Trial, plans and billing
- Free trial: 14 days or 100 conversations, whichever comes first. No card is needed. After the trial, a paid plan is needed to keep the assistant answering.
- Plans: plans renew monthly until cancelled. Plan prices and limits are shown on our pricing page. Prices exclude tax; Paddle adds tax where applicable.
- Changing plans: upgrades take effect immediately and Paddle charges the pro-rata difference. Downgrades take effect at your next renewal date.
- Conversation limits: when you reach your plan's limit, the assistant shows your contact options instead of answers until the next billing period or until you buy an extra conversation pack. Packs apply to the current billing period only.
- Failed payments: your plan stays active while Paddle retries the payment. If the subscription ends unpaid, the assistant shows only your contact options until you subscribe again.
- Price changes: we will tell you by email before a price change, and it applies from your next renewal after that.
- Refunds: see our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
6. Acceptable use
You agree to our Acceptable Use Policy.
7. Your content and data
You keep all rights to your product data, knowledge base, settings and conversations ("your content"). You give us permission to host, process and display your content only to provide and support the service for you. We may use aggregated, anonymous usage statistics (for example, how many conversations lead to a product click) to run and improve Chooza; these never identify you or your shoppers.
We process your shoppers' personal data on your behalf, only to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Our property
Chooza's software, design, brand and documentation belong to us. While your account is active, you may use them only to run the assistant on your store. You may not copy, resell or reverse-engineer the service, or use it to build a competing product.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep Chooza available but don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or improve features. If a change materially reduces what your paid plan includes, we will tell you by email in advance.
We may update these terms. For material changes we will tell you by email before they take effect. If you keep using Chooza after that, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, you can cancel before then.
10. Suspension
We may pause the assistant or suspend your account if you seriously break these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, if your use puts the security or stability of Chooza at risk, or if your subscription ends unpaid. Where it's reasonable, we will warn you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
11. Disclaimer
To the extent the law allows, Chooza is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose or that AI answers will be accurate.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows:
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, lost sales, lost data or loss of goodwill, or for any decision a shopper makes based on an AI answer;
- our total liability for all claims relating to Chooza is limited to the amount you paid for Chooza in the 12 months before the claim arose, or USD 100 if you have not paid anything.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud.
13. Indemnity
You will cover our reasonable costs and losses from claims by third parties (including your shoppers) that arise from your content, your products or store, or your breach of these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy.
14. Ending the agreement
You can cancel anytime from Settings → Plan, and you can delete your store and account from Settings. Deleting removes your products, conversations and settings as described in our Privacy Policy. We may end the agreement if you seriously break these terms. Sections 7 (permission to use aggregated statistics), 8, 11, 12, 13 and 15 continue after the agreement ends.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and the applicable federal laws of the United Arab Emirates. The courts of Dubai have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
16. General
These terms (with the policies they link to) are the whole agreement between you and us about Chooza. You may not transfer your account without our written consent. If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a right straight away, we haven't given it up. If these terms are translated, the English version prevails.
