Before you start
You need your store's website address and a way to share your products: a product feed link or file, or a Shopify store. The free trial lasts 14 days or 100 conversations, whichever comes first, and needs no card.
Not sure yet? Try it on your store first: type your website and chat with your own products, with no sign-up.
1. Your store
Enter your store name (shown at the top of the assistant), your website address and your platform. The assistant only runs on that website and its subdomains, like www. or shop.; you can add more addresses later in Settings.
2. Products
Choose how Chooza reads your catalog:
- Feed link: the address of a Google Merchant, Facebook catalog or CSV feed. Chooza re-reads it automatically on your plan's schedule.
- File upload: the same formats as a file. It stays as uploaded until you upload a new one.
- Shopify store: enter your store address; no feed needed.
The import shows how many products were read, and lists any it skipped with the reason (a missing price or link, for example). See product feeds explained and the setup guide for your platform.
3. Store policies
Write your answers on shipping, returns, payment, warranty and store info. Each section starts from a template with [brackets] to fill in. You can skip this step, but the assistant then can't answer policy questions and offers your contact options instead. Knowledge base tips has examples.
4. Contact options
Add at least one way for shoppers to reach you: WhatsApp, phone, email, or a message form that emails you. The assistant offers these whenever it can't help, so no shopper is left stuck.
5. Appearance
Pick your accent colour, logo, launcher style and greeting. The preview updates as you change them.
6. Install
Copy your script tag and paste it into your site, once, so it loads on every page. Installing the assistant covers every platform. Then open your store and click Check installation.
Test before you go live
The Test assistant page in your dashboard lets you chat with your assistant exactly as shoppers will. Test messages never count toward your conversations.
